REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY - 10th November at The Squadron, North Weald Airfield

To help remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, we're proud to be supporting this event hosted by Aero Legends at this historic airfield.

10 November 2019

The event is free to attend, offering the opportunity to meet veterans from several conflicts including WWII and also pilots who currently fly the Aero Legends warbirds.

There will be a ceremony, a paid carvery and tours of their historic aircraft before the main event.

Ahead of the nation falling silent at 11am, the Aero Legends Dakota “Drag ‘em Oot”, flanked by their Spitfires, will depart North Weald soaring above the Kent countryside en route the White Cliffs of Dover. As the clock strikes 11am, hundreds-of-thousands of poppies will be dropped in remembrance.

Following the poppy drop, the formation will return to North Weald allowing another opportunity to meet the veterans and tour the aircraft.

We'll have an extensive range of artwork on display to help make the occasion memorable for all the family.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.
