THE FILTHY THIRTEEN

Framed Collector's Piece by Joel Iskowitz

With shaved Mohawks and donned war paint from the wet invasion stripes of their waiting C-47, the Demolition Saboteur Platoon, HQ Company, 506th PIR, make preparations for their pre-dawn parachute jump into Normandy. Known as the ‘Filthy Thirteen’, these rebellious and hard fighting men became legendary during the Normandy Invasions.

Joel's impressively detailed depiction of the 'Filthy Thirteen' stands as a lasting tribute to their heroic accomplishments and to the six members, of the original Thirteen, who never returned home.

This limited edition print has been framed to full conservation standards to include museum quality reproduction paratroopers jump wings, a Screaming Eagle pin badge and has been personally signed by their unofficial leader: Sgt JAKE 'McNASTY' McNIECE

D-DAY DROP – 'STICK 21'

Matted Collector's Piece by Robert Taylor

On the night of 5 June, the 101st Airborne’s legendary unit of combat paratroopers jumped into France near the village of Ste-Mère-Église, in the final hours before the D-Day landings. They were a notorious unit of raw, tough and ruthless young men with scant regard for authority. Officially they were the First Demolition Squadron, HQ Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne. Unofficially they were the ‘Filthy Thirteen’.

Along with artist Robert Taylor, this memorable copy is personally autographed by two original members of the 'Filthy Thirteen':

  • Sgt JAKE 'McNASTY' McNIECE
  • PFC JACK 'HAWKEYE' WOMER
