This piece truly shows the passion Gerald always put into his work. This piece depicts a Vickers-Armstrong Wellington 1c of 99 Squadron returning from a raid over Dortmund. This picture shows us the moments on the morning of 26th July 1940 when an engine fails over the north sea as the captain-Squadron Leader Sarll struggles them to its home base at Newmarket Heath. However they crashed just south of Cambridge… Luckily, the crew survived.

This piece has been personally signed by the Artist themselves.
