EAGLES OUT OF THE SUN

Limited Edition by Robert Taylor

A Staffel of of Me109s dive out with the evening sun reflecting off them, to make a classic fighter interception upon B-17s returning from a raid over Germany.

Since the early aerial contests of the First World War it became the fighter pilot's first rule of combat to make an attack, whenever possible, diving out of the sun. With blinding light coming from behind it greatly reduced the chances of detection and substantially increased the difficulty for opposing gunners.

This extremely RARE and highly sought after print was personally signed and authenticated on release back in 1993 by no less then TWELVE of the most famous Luftwaffe Aces who flew the Me109... find out who signed it HERE!

LOW PASS FOR THE HOMEFOLK

Limited Edition by William S Philips

Against a majestic backdrop of the Alps, a pair of Me109s make a low pass over a farm in southern Germany, captivating the on-lookers below them.

Whilst on a trip to Garmisch, Germany, artist Bill Phillips and his wife discovered a war memorial on a hillside, surrounded by framed photographs of local young men who had been killed in WWII.

Bill's imagination started to run wild and develop a story of one young man who joined the Luftwaffe and learned to fly fighters. One day, early in the war, the boy and a friend buzzed the home valley in their Bf109’s before they headed off to battle.

Released in 1991 and selling out almost immediately, this iconic print is considered a 'must' for Luftwaffe collectors, find out more HERE!
