THE ACES HIGH AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION #1

Featuring the original autograph of the famous Colonel Edward D. "Ed" Shames who served as a Commissioned Officer with Easy Company, 101st Airborne Division, 506th PIR, during WW2.

A decorated officer in the U.S. Army and the last surviving member of Easy Company, who passed in 2021, Colonel Ed Shames' legacy has been immortalized in the book and miniseries 'Band of Brothers'. He fought in some of World War II’s most pivotal battles, including Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge. During the capture of Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest, he famously discovered a stash of cognac labelled “for the Führer’s use only,” which he later used to toast his son’s Bar Mitzvah. After the war, he continued serving in the Army Reserve and later worked as a Middle East affairs specialist for the National Security Agency.

Mount colours are subject to availability.

The graphite print by Richard Taylor features C-47s of the 439th Troop Carrier Group as Paratroopers of the 101st descend into Sainte-Mère-Église, D-Day 6th June 1944. Professionally mounted to include the photo and original autograph of this famous 'Band of Brothers' officer:
