THUNDERBOLT STRIKE - Original Oil on Canvas
by Robert Taylor
Robert Taylor’s atmospheric painting depicts a flight of rugged P-47 Thunderbolts - Razorbacks of the 404th Fighter Group, 9th Air Force.
Ground-attack pilots went in low, did the job and got our fast! Having cleared the target area on a low-level attack on an airfield inland from Havre, Normandy, 1944, tracer rounds from ground defences can be seen heading towards the aircraft, almost all of which have taken hits.
✅ This stunning original painting completed in 1994 is now available to add to your personal collection!
