by Robert Taylor

Mosquito Mk.VIs from 143 Sqn, part of the famous Banff Strike Wing, deliver a blistering rocket attack on enemy shipping off the Norwegian coast in early 1945. Their salvo of rockets, however, will likely be enough to penetrate the ships’ hulls.

Robert's dramatic piece has been personally autographed in pencil by up to EIGHT decorated veterans who flew de Havilland Mosquitos during WWII, including:

  • Flt Lt JOHN TROTMAN DFC*
  • Flt Lt GEORGE DUNN DFC MID

ROVER PATROL

by Richard Taylor

A lone Mosquito Mk.VI of 143 Sqn passes high over the Norwegian fjords on an armed rover patrol to seek out enemy shipping and submarines, February 1945. The beauty of the early morning sun, glinting on the snow-covered mountain-tops, contrasts with the menacing job in hand.

This evocative edition is individually numbered and signed by the artist and THREE crew who flew Mosquitos with the Banff Strike Wing during the war:

  • Flt Lt FRANK HAWTHORNE
  • Flt Lt AUBREY HILLIARD
  • F.O. MAURICE WEBB DFM
