BOMBER COMMAND SIGNING EVENT - 13th January

For our first event of the year we're delighted to announce that we'll be joined at the Wendover Gallery by highly-regarded RAF Bomber Command veterans to meet enthusiasts and sign items for collectors.

Our special guests include:

Warrant Officer WILLIAM GOULD – completing training as a Flight Engineer, he went on to serve with 622 Sqn on Lancasters where he completed a full tour of operations during the winter of 1944/45.

Warrant Officer ERIC HORSHAM – having completed training as a Flight Engineer in 1943 he joined 102 Sqn based at RAF Pocklington. He served on Halifaxes on missions over Normandy in the run up to D-Day and over the Ruhr Valley.

Flying Officer TOM SAYER DFM – qualifying as a Pilot he flew Whitleys with 10 OTU from St Eval and then Halifaxes with 102 Sqn from RAF Pocklington. He completed 35 operations and then moved on to instruct aircrew on Whitleys and Wellingtons at 81 OTU.

Flight Lieutenant GEORGE DUNN DFC MiD – after training as a Pilot, he flew Halifaxes with 76 Sqn on bombing raids over Germany. His missions included the V1 and V2 rocket factory and testing site at Peenemunde. After completing 30 operations he converted to fly Mosquitos and flew a further 14 missions.

 

Entry to the event is completely free but for safety reasons by ticket only, so to keep the event comfortable for veterans and enthusiasts we ask that you please RESERVE YOUR TICKET IN ADVANCE.

Our guests are happy to sign autographs for collectors and items purchased at the event over £40 can be signed free of charge.
