An RAF Lancaster of 626 Sqn takes evasive action as a Bf110 G-4 night-fighter makes a potentially deadly pass beneath the bomber, during a raid over Osterfeld in the heart of Germany, December 1944.
This legendary 'night-fighter' print originally released in 2000 has since become a highly sought-after edition within any collection of Robert Taylor's work. Night scenes are notoriously difficult to paint but here Robert achieves a perfect composition, brilliantly using the moonlight to illuminate the two combatants whilst the glare of searchlights, burning fires and exploding shells puncture the night sky with iridescent golden hues.

What exactly is a Legacy Remarque?
Robert, along with his exclusive publisher the Military Gallery, allow a very limited number of prints to be enhanced with an original pencil remarque by Robert's talented son and renowned aviation artist, Richard. To avoid any confusion, Richard also personally signs each Legacy Remarque that he completes.
