The Battle of Britain is over for one Luftwaffe pilot as victorious Spitfires of 54 Sqn roar overhead, returning to base at RAF Hornchurch, August 1940.

Originally published in 1990, this classic piece has become one of the most collectible editions in Robert's extensive portfolio. It was personally signed on release by four legendary Battle of Britain Aces and has been additionally matted to include the signatures of an additional SEVEN Spitfire pilots, including the rare signature of one the greatest leaders of the Battle of Britain...

HURRICANE FORCE

Hurricanes of 257 Sqn attack a large force of Heinkel 111 and Dornier 17 bombers at 12,000 feet over London on 15th September 1940, during the climax of the battle.

Published in 1990, Robert’s outstanding piece shows the brute force of the Hurricane, wreaking havoc amongst the massed formations of enemy raiders. It was signed on release by four of the most decorated fighter leaders to fly Hurricanes during the battle and is matted to include the signatures of SIX more, making it a TEN signature edition... find out more HERE!

Whilst ground crew re-fuel and hastily re-arm their Spitfires in readiness for action, the battle-weary pilots of 92 Sqn stand easy at Biggin Hill. They might yet be scrambled again but, for the moment, they can relax and reflect on another heavy day of fighting, September 1940.
