Here are just a few that are currently in stock at the Steventon Gallery…

LIBERATION, SAINTE-MÈRE-ÉGLISE

by Richard Taylor

By 04.30, after a tough fire fight, troopers from the 505th PIR had raised another flag over the town – the Stars and Stripes – and Sainte-Mère-Église had become the first town in Normandy to be liberated by the Allies on D-Day. Sherman tanks landing on nearby Utah Beach with the US VII Corps were soon passing through the newly liberated town on the way to the front.

Personally signed by three highly-regarded American veterans who fought in Normandy, this special copy has been returned to Richard Taylor's studio and further enhanced by a hand-crafted DOUBLE REMARQUE in the lower border.

DAY OF DAYS

by James Dietz

June 6, 1944 - Le Grand Chemin. Fresh from their baptism of fire, the “Screaming Eagles” of Easy, Dog, and Fox companies, 506th PIR, regroup and rearm, having silenced the guns of Brécourt Manor.

Personally signed by artist Jim Dietz, this special copy has been framed to full conservation standards to include the ORIGINAL autographs of four prominent veterans who served with the 101st!

EVE OF DESTINY

by Richard Taylor

The men of Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th PIR – the famous ‘Band of Brothers’ – carefully take inventory of their equipment during the evening of 5 June 1944.

This special copy has been further embellished with a hand-crafted original DOUBLE REMARQUE in the lower margin of the print and framed to full conservation standards to create a completely unique NINE signature piece!

HEADING OFF OMAHA

by Keith Burns

Recently landed M3A1 halftracks from the US 36th Armored Infantry Regiment, US Third Armored Division, climb away from Omaha Beach shortly after the D-Day landings. They will soon be heavily involved in the tough fighting to clear German forces from the hedgerows of Normandy.

Keith's dramatic piece has been conservation framed to include a sample of sand recovered from Omaha beach, creating a special collector's piece for future generations.
