Commemorating The Dambusters

On 16th May 1943, the crews of 617 Sqn were about to embark on an audacious low-level assault against the great dams of Germany. Codenamed 'Operation Chastise', the task required exceptional flying skills and a specially designed ‘bouncing bomb’, but if the dams could be destroyed it would deal a massive blow to the Nazi war machine.​

In tribute to this famous raid, we're delighted to feature these memorable pieces, all of which include ORIGINAL autographs of veterans who took part:

BREACHING THE DAM

Framed Collector's Piece by Nicolas Trudgian

Recreating events on the night of the raid, Nick's rare piece depicts a pivotal moment as Guy Gibson's Lancaster he skims the dam’s flak tower whilst attacking the Möhne.

Personally signed by four veterans directly involved in the raid, we've framed this special piece to include miniature medal set of leader of the raid, Guy Gibson.
