DEFENCE OF THE REALM

by Robert Taylor

This symbolic piece portrays Group Captain Peter Townsend, Commanding Officer of 85 Sqn, during the long, hot summer of 1940. Fresh from the heat of battle over London and the Thames, he wearily turns his Hurricane towards home to refuel, re-arm and re-join the fight.

** Personally autographed by Group Captain PETER TOWNSEND **

HURRICANE HERO

by Anthony Saunders

With the Battle of Britain fast approaching its climax, Flt Lt Tom Neil and the Hurricane pilots of 249 Sqn make a dramatic head-on attack against a large force of Heinkel He111s from 5./KG26 heading for London, Wednesday 11 September 1940.

**With two original signatures of Wing Commanders who flew Hurricanes during the Battle of Britain**

GLORIOUS SUMMER

 by Robert Taylor

Robert’s magnificent piece captures young Pilot Officer Geoffrey Page, later to become one of the RAF’s most highly decorated fighter Aces, powering his Mk.I Hurricane over the country lane at the edge of an airfield, as 56 Sqn pilots make their third scramble of the day.

** Included in this two-print portfolio is the matching-numbered companion print HUNTERS OF THE NIGHT and a staggering TWENTY ONE original signatures of veterans who fought in the skies over southern England during the Battle of Britain, all of whom have sadly since passed away **
