Temporarily grounded by deep overnight snow, a B-17 Flying Fortress from the 398th BG, 8th AF stands quietly near the constantly patrolled perimeter of RAF Nuthampstead during the winter of 1944.

Making it completely unique, this special copy includes a stunning sketch of B-17Gs in formation and has been framed to include replica USAAF Wings.

This atmospheric piece is personally autographed by three veterans who flew B-17s from England with the 8th Air Force during WWII:

  • First Lieutenant James White Jr
  • First Lieutenant Charles 'Norm' Stevens
  • First Lieutenant Ken Sharpe
