THE LANDINGS AT JUNO BEACH - Original Pencil Drawing
by Richard Taylor
Of all five invasion beaches only Omaha was thought to be more difficult and dangerous, yet the landings at Juno, led by the Canadians, penetrated further inland on D-Day than any of the other Allied armies. In tribute to the heroism witnessed at Juno beach, Richard’s stunning drawing depicts the scene shortly after H-Hour on D-Day as the Canadians, soon to be involved in heavy fighting, pour ashore as Spitfires of the Canadian Wing patrol overhead.
