FIGHTER PATROL - Original Pencil Drawing
Pilots of the USAAF 361st Fighter Group climb their P-51s into the cool morning air tasked with escorting B-17s to targets over occupied Europe during the summer 1944. In the months following D-Day the unit also attacked enemy airfields and by the end of the war had accounted for an astonishing 226 air and 105 ground aircraft destroyed.
Framed to full conservation standards, Robert’s detailed drawing has been signed by two highly-regarded USAAF fighter pilots who flew P-51s with distinction during WWII:
