TROPICAL DUTIES - Framed Special Remarque Copy
A Mk.III Sunderland flying boat from 230 Sqnadron RAF based at Koggala, Ceylon dischardes essential supplies at a forward operations base deep in the Indian Ocean in the summer of 1944. A second aircraft prepares to land at the tropical inland anchorage.
This truly unique piece carries an astonishing remarque drawing covering most of the bottom of the print, completed in Richard's trademark graphte and paint combination. The print is signed by THREE veterans that flew Sunderlands in the PAcific during WWII. It is no surprise that Richard’s pencil work is in huge demand and this superb piece has taken his remarques to a new level of excellence.
