The Apollo 11 spaceflight was the first mission to land humans on the surface of the moon. As the Command Module Columbia orbited above, the Lunar Module Eagle touched down onto the surface at 20.18 on 20 July 1969.

Richard’s superb drawing depicts the moment that has been written in the history books forever. Moments later, Neil Armstrong descended a ladder to become the first human to step onto the surface of the moon, with Buzz Aldrin not far behind.

This unique piece has been framed to full conservation standards to include a commemorative medal from the Apollo 11 launch phase.
