BOMBER COMMAND SIGNING EVENT – 30th OCTOBER

We are delighted to be hosting some amazing WWII Bomber Command veterans at the UK Gallery to meet enthusiasts and sign items for collectors.

Our special guests include:

Flight Sergeant BERNARD HARRIS - volunteered for the RAF just before his 18th birthday in 1943 and served as a Rear Gunner on Wellingtons in OTU and Lancasters on conversion with 622 Sqn.

Flight Lieutenant KEN THOMAS DFC - after joining the RAF as a mechanic, Ken went on to complete Pilot training and served with 622 Sqn, flying Stirlings and Lancasters where he completed 30 Ops’.

Flight Lieutenant ‘RUSTY’ WAUGHMAN DFC  AFC Ld’H-  Rusty was a Pilot on Lancasters with 101 ‘Special Duties’ Sqn. He completed a full Tour, surviving a mid-air collision and later having his Lancaster flipped upside down by an explosion.

Leading Aircraftsman HANSON HILL - joined the RAF in 1943 and served as Ground Crew based at RAF Binbrook with 460 Sqn equipped with Lancasters. He later served in Suez, Egypt and Bombay, India during 1944.

Our guests are happy to sign items for customers and entry is FREE but STRICTLY by ticket only. We are currently taking bookings so please contact us now to reserve your place.
